Well, it appears summer has finally arrived in Vancouver, Washington; home of Fort Vancouver.
One of the oldest Establishments on the West Coast, Ft Vancouver was actually a British establishment and the Hudsons Bay company for Fur Trading and those arriving over “THE OREGON TRAIL”.
Now, in 2012, and since I can remember it is the site of one of the largest fireworks displays west of the Mississippi!

Now TONIGHT, Thursday July 5th we kick off the Six to Sunset Concerts with ABBEY ROAD in Esther Short Park, in downtown Vancouver, WA, hosts free public concerts every thursday night thru August 9th.
The series will run for six weeks with performances from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday night, now in its 26th year!
The schedule continues with Hit Machine on July 12, Patrick Lamb Band on July 19, Journey tribute band Stone in Love on July 26, Tom Petty tribute band Petty Fever on Aug. 2, and Radical Revolution on Aug. 9.
Esther Short park is FULL of activities all summer long, day concerts. One that is SURE to Please is FIRE IN THE PARK. Plenty of family fun, chili cook off, and fitness challenges, the local 52 firefighters union sponsors this event to benefit SHARE, for the hungry and the homeless.
